On May 26, 2023, Rabo de Peixe premiered on Netflix. Just two days later, the Portuguese series reached number 1 on Netflix’s national top chart, holding its spot for over two months and becoming the most-watched series ever in Portugal.
Internationally, it reached over 190 countries and entered the top charts in 38 of them, with the story of four friends trying to escape their fate amassing over 45 million viewing hours, according to data released by Netflix in June.
